In a striking revelation, government documents have surfaced showing that Elon Musk, the world’s wealthiest individual, once corresponded with the disgraced financier Jeffrey Epstein. The emails discuss a potential visit to Epstein’s notorious private island for a party, shedding light on past interactions between the two men.
According to records released by the Department of Justice, Musk reached out to Epstein via email on November 25, 2012, inquiring about the best time to attend a “wildest party” on the island. “What day/night will be the wildest party on our island?” Musk wrote, seemingly eager to plan his visit. He mentioned that the trip would likely include his then-wife, British actress Talulah Riley.
This email was a follow-up to Epstein’s earlier message, sent just a day prior, where he queried Musk about the size of his party for transportation to the island via helicopter. At this point in time, Epstein had a criminal record, having been convicted of sex offenses involving minors in Florida.
Musk’s name emerging in these documents comes amid his outspoken criticism of former President Donald Trump. Over the summer, Musk accused Trump of concealing incriminating documents related to Epstein, a claim that led to a public falling out between the billionaire and the former president.
At the time Musk emailed Epstein, the financier had already been convicted of sex crimes against minors in Florida.
Musk’s appearance in the files comes after he accused President Donald Trump over the summer of covering up the sordid documents to protect himself – a claim that caused a high-profile rupture between the two.
Musk’s cozy relationship with the deceased pedophile was unveiled on Friday as part of the Justice Department’s release of more than 3 million documents relating to Epstein.
Musk emailed Epstein again in the following year, in December 2013, to coordinate a trip to the sordid pedophile’s Caribbean island. ‘Will be in the BVI/St Bart’s area over the holidays,’ Musk wrote to Epstein. ‘Is there a good time to visit?’
Elon Musk spoke with Jeffrey Epstein multiple times about visiting his private island. ‘What day/night will be the wildest party on =our island’ Musk asked Epstein in 2012

Epstein responded by assuring Musk that the beginning of the new year would be a good time to visit, adding: ‘always space for you.’
The pair communicated again on Christmas Day with Epstein writing, ‘the 2 or 3 would be perfect. I will come and get you.’
Musk noted that he would need to travel back to Los Angeles on January 2, 2013, before claiming he could delay his departure.
‘When should we head to your island on the 2nd?’ Musk concluded to Epstein.
It’s not clear whether Musk ultimately visited Epstein on his island, but their email communications indicate they had a friendly relationship.
The latest DOJ release is expected to contain previously unseen material from the investigation into Epstein, who was found hanged in a New York jail in 2019 while awaiting trial for sex trafficking underage girls.
Previous releases have shed light on Epstein’s ties to the global elite, including Donald Trump, Bill Clinton and Bill Gates.
In an email obtained exclusively by the Daily Mail on Friday, it was revealed that Epstein astonishingly claimed that Gates caught a sexually transmitted disease from ‘Russian girls.’

Epstein attacked Gates in a July 2013 for breaking off their friendship, writing: ‘TO add insult to the injury you them (sic) implore me to please delete the emails regarding your std, your request that I provide you antibiotics that you can surreptitiously give to Melinda and the description of your penis.’
Only one person – Epstein’s former girlfriend Maxwell – has ever been charged in connection with his crimes.
The names of the alleged ‘co-conspirators’ are redacted from the emails.
Maxwell is serving a 20-year prison sentence for recruiting underage girls for Epstein, whose death was ruled a suicide.
Musk’s naming in the files comes after the tech mogul started a public feud with the Trump administration over the summer, claiming that the president was in the Epstein files.
‘@RealDonaldTrump is in the Epstein files. That is the real reason they have not been made public,’ Musk wrote on June 5, 2025. ‘Have a nice day, DJT!’
‘Mark this post for the future. The truth will come out,’ Musk said in another post at the time.
Musk claimed then that Trump was covering up the files to protect himself, as the Tesla CEO alleged the president was named in the documents – a claim that ultimately proved to be true. Trump has never been accused of wrongdoing.
The tech entrepreneur’s claim, which he blasted out to his over 200 million followers on X, immediately ruffled the president’s feathers and a war of words ensued.
‘I asked him to leave,’ Trump said in a statement, noting how Musk unceremoniously departed the Department of Government Efficiency, adding, ‘he just went CRAZY!’
