Timothee Chalamet found himself on edge as his cherished New York Knicks faced a setback in the NBA playoffs this past Monday. The anticipation was palpable at Madison Square Garden, where the Knicks entered Game 2 of the first round holding a promising 1-0 lead in the series.

However, the night took an unexpected turn for New York fans as the Atlanta Hawks clinched a narrow victory in a nail-biting showdown, edging out the Knicks with a 107-106 final score.

The acclaimed actor, draped in a classic blue-and-orange vintage Knicks Adidas jacket, was a picture of fervent support, energetically rallying his team. Chalamet’s enthusiasm was unmistakable, as he frequently sprang to his feet, applauding and shouting encouragement to the players.

Known for his loyalty to New York sports, Chalamet is a regular presence at Madison Square Garden, often seen passionately cheering on the Knicks during their games.

The A-lister was frequently seen rising to his feet to applaud the Knicks stars, shouting out words of encouragement.

Chalamet is a renowned New York sports fan and has often been seen at MSG to take in the Knicks action.

However, unlike last season, Chalamet was spotted without girlfriend Kylie Jenner in tow.

Throughout the 2025 playoffs, the media personality was seen by her beau’s side for courtside date nights.

Instead, the Marty Supreme actor was seated near Ben Stiller, another notorious Knicks fan.

The pair were captured sharing a laugh together and chatting throughout the game as they soaked up the action.

Chalamet, who once won a pair of Knicks tickets in 2010 in a social media contest, and Stiller have frequently been front and center of the celebrity seats at Madison Square Garden.

Olympic gold medalist Suni Lee was also snapped cheering on the home team from celebrity row.

The gymnast kept it casual in a white tank top and blue jeans, finishing off her look with a diamante Olympic rings pendant.

Lee is also a regular fixture at MSG, so much so that last year she had to dispel rumors that she was dating a Knicks star.

The six-time Olympic medalist was the subject of the rumors after repeated visits to Knicks games last season – where she was often seen deep in conversation with OG Anunoby.

It sparked plenty of online speculation, with some joking that Anunoby had his best games when Lee was courtside but now the gymnast has finally had her say.

‘Honestly, it just started off as a joke, and I feel like social media kind of just, like, took it further than that,’ she told the Mirror US .

‘But yeah, we’re just friends, and I’m really good friends with a bunch of the guys on the Knicks team, like [Karl-Anthony Towns], and then also I’m really close to [Towns’ partner Jordyn Woods ] as well, so it’s cool to see them doing their thing.

‘Honestly, I just enjoy watching basketball, which is why I went to most of the games.’

However, the trio suffered heartbreak as the Hawks leveled the series at one apiece.

The Hawks had trailed the whole second half and were down 12 after three quarters. Atlanta chipped away and a basket by CJ McCollum gave the Hawks a 101-100 lead – their first of the series in the second half – with 2:09 to play.

He made another for a three-point lead, and after Jalen Brunson tied it with a 3-pointer, McCollum answered with another jumper to make it 105-103 with 33 seconds to play.

McCollum’s late surge was almost for naught when he missed two free throws with 5.6 seconds remaining. The Knicks rushed the ball up the court without any timeouts left, but Mikal Bridges missed a jumper as time expired.
