This morning, a typically quiet street in Springvale became the scene of intense police activity following a troubling home invasion. Just after 5 a.m., three intruders reportedly forced their way into a residence, setting off a series of violent events.
According to police reports, two men inside the house were assaulted during the incident. The situation escalated when one of the men was forcibly taken from the scene. In a distressing turn, the 35-year-old was transported to a location in Cranbourne North. Thankfully, he was eventually released but not without suffering significant injuries that required hospitalization.
Meanwhile, back at the original crime scene, a 54-year-old man also needed medical attention. Ambulance Victoria confirmed that he was treated for an upper body injury before being taken to the hospital.
Amidst this chaos, a woman in her 30s, who was present in the home during the invasion, emerged physically unharmed. However, out of precaution, she was transported to the hospital for observation.
The incident has left the community on edge and authorities are continuing their investigation to bring those responsible to justice.
A woman in her 30s, who was at the home at the time, was uninjured but was taken to hospital for observation.
Neighbours told 9News they saw a blood trail spattered across the footpath and a young woman being consoled near the scene this morning.
“There was a lot of police around the area, there was about seven police cars, a lot of policemen and all the houses were all taped up,” local resident Rick said.
“There’s a massive blood trail that goes all the way up to the end of the street, to the end of the road, it’s probably at least a kilometre long.
“It’s very concerning because it seems to be happening quite a bit around here.”
