Prince Harry makes surprise visit in Ukraine in show of support during war

In a surprise move, Prince Harry paid a visit to Ukraine’s capital, Kyiv, on Thursday, signaling solidarity with the nation as it endures its fifth year of conflict with Russia.

Upon arriving at the Kyiv railway station early that morning, the Duke of Sussex expressed his sentiments, stating, “It’s good to be back in Ukraine.”

During his two-day stay, Prince Harry is scheduled to participate in a security conference held in Kyiv.

His visit comes at a time when global focus has shifted towards the escalating situation in the Middle East.

Emphasizing the importance of Ukraine’s role, Prince Harry remarked, “Ukraine is a country bravely and successfully defending Europe’s eastern flank,” urging people not to overlook its significance.

Additionally, Prince Harry plans to visit the HALO Trust, a de-mining charity with ties to his late mother, Princess Diana. He is also set to meet Ukrainian veterans involved with his Invictus Games Foundation, a platform that aids wounded veterans in their recovery through sports, as reported by Britain’s ITV.

Prince Harry, the younger son of Britain’s King Charles, visited Ukraine twice last year.
