This shocking footage captures an alleged incident where a former beauty queen was tragically shot by her own mother-in-law in her upscale apartment in Mexico.
Carolina Flores Gomez, a 27-year-old new mother, was reportedly shot 12 times in the face, neck, and head on April 15 in Mexico City.
Disturbing video, believed to have been recorded inside the residence, shows the young woman moving through her living room before entering a different room within the apartment.
Following closely, her mother-in-law, 63-year-old Erika Herrera, is seen trailing Carolina with her hands tucked into her pockets.
Moments later, once both women are inside the room, gunfire and screams echo through the space.
The harrowing scene, initially reported by the Mexican newspaper Reforma, includes the reaction of Carolina’s husband, Alejandro Gomez, to the alleged shooting.

The harrowing footage appeared to be taken inside her home
Just seconds after his wife was killed, Alejandro walked into the frame of the video while carrying their eight-month-old baby, asking his mother in Spanish: ‘What was that? What crazy thing did you do?’
Herrera answered: ‘Nothing. She made me angry.’
Gomez calmly asks her: ‘What’s wrong with you, she’s my family.’
Herrera answered: ‘You’re mine and she stole you.’
Local media reported that the family did not report the fatal shooting until the following day.
Carolina’s mother, Reyna Gomez Molina, told Univision News that the shooting was not reported until the next day, as the family were worried about what might happen to the couple’s young child.
Police have since launched an investigation into the incident, and Reforma reported today that the office of the Attorney General of Mexico City has issued an arrest warrant for Herrera, whose whereabouts are unknown.
Carolina was crowned Miss Teen Universe for Baja California in 2017 when she was 18, before leaving the Mexican state to move to the country’s capital.
Since then, she worked as an influencer and content creator, sharing videos of her daily life, travels and fashion.

Since her untimely death, her friends and family have shared heartbreaking tributes.
Friend Alexa Villalobos said in an emotional post to social media: ‘Carolina was beautiful inside and out; loving, charismatic, and helpful.
‘It seems impossible to believe that someone with so much grace could leave in this way; the snatching away of a life full of dreams and love is something unforgivable.
‘I want justice for Caro, for her family, her mother, her little sister, and her baby, who were her greatest happiness.’
Her former school, El Tesoro del Saber, said in a statement: ‘With deep sadness, we want to express our most sincere condolences for the irreparable loss of our former student Carolina Flores Gomez, who was part of our community from her earliest years.
‘Although time has passed, we fondly remember her time at our school and the joy she shared with us.
‘We join in the grief of her family and loved ones, sending them a hug full of solidarity. Rest in peace.
‘Your teachers will always remember you as that beautiful little girl, full of love and tenderness.’
Reyna Gomez Molina organised a protest march in her daughter’s memory over the weekend, demanding justice.
She wrote on social media: ‘Let’s raise our voices for my daughter so that her name is not just another statistic.’
