On Friday, Israeli President Benjamin Netanyahu disclosed that his latest medical report has been published, revealing that he has been treated for prostate cancer.
Netanyahu explained that the report was released a few months later than initially planned, citing strategic reasons for the delay, which he promised to elaborate on soon.
In a post on his X account, Netanyahu provided further details:
He noted that the health report was made public on Friday and shared some background information on his medical history. In 2024, Netanyahu underwent surgery for an enlarged prostate, a procedure that was publicly announced by his office at the time. However, during a follow-up examination after the surgery, doctors discovered a “malignant tumor” less than a centimeter in size within the prostate, as stated in his Friday announcement.

After writing that the heath report was published on Friday, Netanyahu continued by giving a little background on his health: he previously underwent surgery for an enlarged prostate in 2024, something which was reported contemporaneously by his office. But during a check-up after the surgery, he said in the statement Friday, doctors found “a malignant tumor” of less than a centimeter in the organ.
