Man accused of repeatedly trespassing at CIA headquarters in Virginia

A man from Texas was taken into custody following multiple attempts to enter CIA headquarters over four consecutive days. Despite being repeatedly warned to keep away, he insisted to officers that he was “meant” to be there.

Identified as Connor Lynn Mayo, the individual faces charges of criminal trespass as per federal authorities. According to documents obtained by FOX5 DC, Mayo drove up to the main entrance of the CIA in Langley, Virginia, several times between April 24 and April 27.

His latest attempt occurred at approximately 9:40 a.m. on a Monday. Court records indicate that he ignored numerous warning signs and visitor detours as he approached the facility in a white Hyundai Elantra, which bore Texas license plates.

When confronted by a CIA police officer, Mayo failed to present valid identification and attempted to flee the scene, as reported by WUSA9, citing the charging documents. The officer eventually managed to halt him using a strategic maneuver.

After verifying the license plate, CIA police realized that Mayo had been involved in two previous incidents they had recorded earlier.

On April 24, Mayo allegedly drove up to the main entrance and was ordered to leave. Two days later, authorities say he returned and “piggy-backed” behind an authorized vehicle to slip past a security barrier. Officers issued him a citation at the time and warned him he would be arrested if he came back.

Despite the warning, Mayo returned Monday, leading to his arrest.

When questioned, Mayo allegedly admitted he knew he was trespassing and acknowledged he had been warned previously not to return. He told officers he believed he was “intended to be at CIA,” documents state.

Investigators said Mayo also told officers he had visited the Pentagon the day before and expressed a desire to be taken into custody.

Authorities have not indicated a motive for the repeated attempts. The investigation remains ongoing.
