Emily Blunt, Stanley Tucci, stars of new 'Devil Wears Prade 2' film honored with stars on Hollywood Walk of Fame

As the anticipated sequel “The Devil Wears Prada 2” gears up for its nationwide debut, Hollywood found itself celebrating two of its own. Emily Blunt and Stanley Tucci, both stars of the upcoming film, have been honored with stars on the Hollywood Walk of Fame, marking a significant moment in their illustrious careers.

The ceremony took place on Thursday, attracting a vibrant crowd of fans, family, and industry colleagues who gathered to applaud the achievements of these talented actors. Their stars, placed in the motion pictures category, symbolize their enduring impact on the film industry.

Stanley Tucci, reflecting on his expansive 45-year career, expressed his deep gratitude: “It has been an honor and absolutely exhausting to be a part of Hollywood for 45 years. But I wouldn’t have traded it for the world.” His words resonated with the audience, underlining the dedication and passion that have characterized his journey in film.

Emily Blunt shared her own heartfelt thoughts on the occasion, acknowledging the profound significance of the recognition. “It’s very difficult to sum up just how meaningful this is to me,” she remarked. “The juggernauts that showed up to speak about me have just blown my hair back.” Her comments highlighted the supportive presence of her peers and mentors.

The event was graced by several renowned figures from the entertainment world. Esteemed actors such as Robert Downey Jr., Dwayne “The Rock” Johnson, Matt Damon, and Meryl Streep took the stage to pay tribute to Blunt and Tucci, emphasizing the respect and admiration they command within the industry.

Both actors received their stars in the motion pictures category. Several high-profile actors spoke in their honor, including Robert Downey Jr., Dwayne “The Rock” Johnson, Matt Damon and Meryl Streep.

“She’s the scene partner you will never forget,” Downey said of Blunt. “And she’s the wife you can’t resent [John Krasinski] for landing because he’s equally dynamic and this guy’s impossible not to love.”

Johnson congratulated both honorees, singling out Blunt’s presence.

“Congratulations to Stanley and Emily,” he said. “It’s about time! The one word that I think reflects Emily’s mana in here and her spirit, is ‘present.’”

Damon praised the pair as enduring collaborators.

“This makes me so happy … the Tucci-Blunt legend just continues to grow and evolve in the best possible ways,” he said.

Streep, who has worked closely with Tucci, highlighted his global reputation.

“You can’t even call Stanley a national treasure anymore because I’ve just been around the world and truly the affection hurled at him globally … he’s just marinating in it,” she said.

Audiences can see Blunt, Tucci and the rest of the ensemble when “The Devil Wears Prada 2” premieres in theaters on Friday.
