Tragedy struck in Texas as authorities confirmed the deaths of five individuals following a plane crash that occurred overnight.
Emergency teams were dispatched after receiving a report of an incident on the 200 block of Round Rock Road in Wimberley, as reported by FOX 7 Austin.
The ill-fated aircraft has been identified as a Cessna 421C, which was carrying five people at the time of the crash.
All passengers on board have been confirmed deceased, according to the news outlet.

Initial findings from the investigation suggest the plane was traveling at a high speed when it went down, with no evidence pointing to a midair collision.
A second plane that was traveling in the area subsequently landed without incident at the New Braunfels airport.
