U.S. Attorney Jeanine Pirro has disclosed new evidence indicating that the shooter at the White House Correspondents’ Dinner was responsible for injuring a Secret Service agent.
Pirro, speaking with CNN’s Jake Tapper on Sunday, confirmed that the bullet that struck the agent originated from the firearm used by the alleged assailant, 31-year-old Cole Thomas Allen.
“We have identified the weapon involved,” Pirro explained. “Video footage captures the suspect firing at the Secret Service agent, who can personally attest to being targeted before he returned fire.”
She further elaborated, “Crucially, we have ascertained that a pellet from the buckshot of the defendant’s Mossberg pump-action shotgun was found entangled with the fibers of the agent’s protective vest.”
Pirro concluded, “There is no doubt it was his bullet. He aimed at that Secret Service agent with the intent to kill him and anyone else who obstructed his plan to assassinate the President of the United States.”
During the interview, Tapper questioned Pirro about the intended target of the shooting, referencing an alleged manifesto that contained severe accusations against Donald Trump.
‘He does say, and I want to apologize for using this language, but he does say, quote, I am no longer willing to permit a pedophile, rapist and traitor to coat my hands with his crimes, unquote,’ Tapper said.
Pirro slammed Tapper for reading that portion, saying, ‘First of all, that’s outrageous. I mean, there’s a lot of other things you could have referred to. This guy is a hater. He hates Trump so much. He wants to kill him.’

That excerpt from the manifesto appeared to particularly upset Trump during the 60 Minutes interview he did in the wake of the attempted assassination.
Trump told CBS News anchor Norah O’Donnell she was a ‘disgrace’ for reading some of the most inciting lines of Allen’s missive during their interview.
O’Donnell said, ‘He appears to reference a motive. In it, he writes this: quote, ”Administrative officials, they are targets.” He also wrote this: “I am no longer willing to permit a pedophile, rapist, and traitor to coat my hands with his crimes.” What’s your reaction to that?’
Trump replied: ‘Well, I was waiting for you to read that, because I knew you would. Because you’re horrible people. Horrible people. Yeah, he did write that. I am not a rapist. I didn’t rape anybody.’
O’Donnell attempted to interrupt Trump, asking: ‘Oh, do you think he was referring to you?’
‘Excuse me. Excuse me. I am not a pedophile,’ he quickly said, cutting the anchor off.
Trump then appeared to refer to what he felt was the connection Allen was attempting to make between himself and pedophile financier Jeffrey Epstein.
‘You read that crap from some sick person. I got associated with all stuff that has nothing to do with me. I was totally exonerated. Your friends on the other side of the plate are the ones that were involved with, let’s say, Epstein or other things.’
Trump has never been charged with a crime in connection to Epstein, who the President has said he kicked out of his Mar-a-Lago club decades ago.
This is a developing story.
