A 41-year-old man has been formally charged following allegations of animal cruelty captured on video in Queensland. The footage reportedly shows the man engaging in violent acts, such as kicking, dragging, and swinging a dog.
The individual, a resident of Broadbeach Waters, faces charges linked to an incident that purportedly took place on April 30 in Broadbeach, located on the Gold Coast.
Witnesses claim that around 9:15 a.m., the man was observed mistreating the dog during a walk along Hooker Boulevard.

The accused is scheduled to appear in Southport Magistrates Court on May 18.
The dog involved in the incident has been taken into the care of the RSPCA, according to the police.
Reports were initially made to Animals First Australia.

The organisation alleged in a Facebook post the dog was "kicked, yanked, dragged, and at one point lifted and swung before being kicked again".
"Multiple videos capture the incident, with the dog actively resisting and trying to get away," the post continued.
