The newest iteration of Native Instruments’ Komplete music production suite has arrived, boasting 62 fresh additions, among which is the intriguingly unconventional Absynth 6. Komplete 26 is available in a variety of packages, starting with three distinct $99 Select bundles: Beats, Band, and Electronic. From there, the pricing escalates sharply, with the Standard edition at $549, the Ultimate version at $1,249, and the premium Collector’s Edition coming in at a hefty $1,949. If you’re upgrading from Komplete 15, there are savings to be had, though transitioning to the Collector’s Edition will still cost $399. Notably, the naming has shifted from sequential numbers to years, reflecting its 2026 release.
For most producers, Komplete 26 Standard is likely to meet all but the most specific requirements. It includes Absynth 6 and Massive X, which should satisfy most synthesizer cravings. The industry-standard Kontakt 8 is also included, offering a comprehensive range of sample-based instruments suitable for orchestras, drums, choirs, and more. It also provides sequencing and chord progression tools to ignite creative sparks. Guitar Rig 7 Pro is available for effects and amp simulations. Additionally, Komplete features mixing and mastering plugins from iZotope, such as Ozone 12, Neutron 5, and Nectar 4.
Moving up from the Standard package to the Ultimate or Collector’s Edition introduces you to new offerings like Claire and Claire: Avant, a duo of sampled Steinway D grand pianos that deliver both classical acoustic sounds and innovative textures. There’s also a rich selection of additional items aimed at scoring, such as LCO Producer Strings and Moments: Vocal Clouds. However, these extra sampled instruments and expansion packs come at the cost of storage space, with the Collector’s Edition occupying a significant 1.6 TB.
