Newlyweds Jacqui Burfoot and Clint Rice looked keen to keep a low profile when they were spotted at Sydney Airport on Friday

Newlyweds Jacqui Burfoot and Clint Rice appeared to be maintaining a low profile during their appearance at Sydney Airport on Friday.

These stars from “Married At First Sight” recently exchanged vows in a private ceremony held in New Zealand last month.

Both Jacqui, 29, and Clint, 44, were seen adopting a casual demeanor as they navigated the airport’s domestic terminal.

In an evident attempt to dodge the camera flashes, Jacqui used a large water bottle to shield her face.

Jacqui was dressed in a cream-colored maxi dress featuring a deep V-neckline and a floral jacquard design.

To stay warm, the reality TV star wore a charcoal grey jacket with wide lapels and completed her travel look with white leather ballet flats by Jo Mercer.

Jacqui’s stunning wedding bling – the large, oval-cut diamond engagement ring, and simpler matching yellow gold wedding band – was also on full display.

She managed to get some shopping in during her Sydney stay, with the reality star seen carrying a bag from luxe fashion brand Jac + Jack.

Leaving her brunette locks down for the flight, Jacqui accessorised with a black woven leather bag slung over her right shoulder.

Clint, meanwhile, played the dutiful husband perfectly, carrying the couple’s bags through the terminal.

He cut a wintry figure in a white polo neck that he wore under a light grey zip-up jumper and a navy blue jacket.

He also wore a pair of khaki-coloured chinos that he paired with white sneakers and a similarly coloured cap.

The airport sighting came after Clint took a cheeky swipe at his TV bride, Lauren Hall, as he and Jacqui shared details of their recent New Zealand wedding on Today Extra on Thursday.

Clint and Jacqui described their nuptials as ‘breathtaking and special’ after tying the knot in a private ceremony at Lake Wakatipu on New Zealand’s South Island last month.

It wasn’t long before co-host Sylvia Jeffreys cheekily asked how the day compared to his TV wedding to Lauren.

‘It was so nice to be able to look down the aisle and see Jacqui… and know her intentions are good!’ Clint said.

He added that getting married in real life felt much more special than doing it on the Channel Nine dating experiment.

‘It was an amazing day, it felt like the MAFS wedding was a bit of a run-through,’ he said.

Clint insisted that he and Jacqui looked back fondly on their time on MAFS, because it was how they met.

‘It would have been hard to meet if it weren’t for the show. It strengthened us!’ he said.

The pair said they wanted to recreate their first dance as husband and wife, set to Alex Warren’s romantic ballad Ordinary.

They were then asked to perform a somewhat awkward dance routine live on television.

Last month, Jacqui and Clint officially tied the knot a year after getting engaged.

‘It was unreal and [we] celebrated hard [and] invites were hard to come by,’ Clint told Daily Mail after the nuptials.

Jacqui and Clint, who found love after their time on the Channel Nine experiment, celebrated their 12-month anniversary in December 2025.

In a candid Instagram post, the reality star didn’t hold back in addressing critics who doubted the legitimacy of their romance.

‘Haters and jealous, attention-seeking co-stars said it’s fake, PR stunt, give it three months, performative or manipulative, just for attention,’ she said.

‘One year in today – please forward your apologies in writing because it looks like your three-month forecast aged like milk with your integrity.’

She went on to issue a fiery message to her detractors, adding: ‘Also, ew, never project your gross expiration dates or beliefs onto me or Clint ever again.’

The pair sparked headlines after their on-screen connection was initially met with scepticism from fellow participants.

Despite the controversy, Jacqui and Clint remained inseparable after filming wrapped, and have since become one of the show’s rare lasting love stories.
