During Monday’s episode of “Hannity” on the Fox News Channel, Department of Homeland Security Secretary Markwayne Mullin revealed that the agency is finally making headway in deporting dangerous individuals who had entered the U.S. under the Biden administration. Mullin attributed the delay to the lengthy process of correcting flawed records initially provided by the administration.
Mullin explained that the previous administration allowed a significant influx of individuals, reportedly between 150,000 to 200,000 per week, into the country. Many of these individuals were paroled into the U.S. while claiming asylum. Although records were kept, Mullin noted that only about 5% of the information was accurate upon review. The DHS undertook a comprehensive effort to clean up these records by cross-referencing databases and public records. This meticulous process has now enhanced their operational efficiency, with a success rate of over 90% in locating individuals when serving warrants.
He emphasized that the DHS is now effectively targeting and deporting the most dangerous individuals who, according to Mullin, were allowed to “terrorize our cities and streets” under the Biden administration. The goal, he stated, is to return these individuals to their countries of origin.
