In a chilling incident in Virginia, a person dressed in a cartoonish Pink Panther-like costume reportedly targeted local school children in broad daylight, nearly abducting a young girl. The unsettling episode unfolded around 4:30 p.m. on May 14 in Fredericksburg, sending waves of fear through the community.
The individual in the pink costume was spotted trailing a group of frightened children who had just disembarked from their school bus. Disturbing footage captured the figure lurking along the grassy roadside, adding to the community’s unease.
A concerned local resident shared their alarming experience on Facebook, noting, “This man stared down my son and one of the older neighbors from across the road. That’s when this picture was snapped.” The post continued to describe the frightening moment when “scarlet and a little neighbor girl got off the bus, he chased after all 4 kids and tried to grab the little girl (slowest), but her sister pulled her away and they got away.”
The situation took a fortunate turn when a passing car caused the masked suspect to flee, averting what could have been a tragedy. A witness recounted seeing the attempted abduction but was unable to stop their vehicle in time to intervene.
“A car drove by them and he turned and ran away.”
