In the early hours of Sunday morning, emergency services responded to Crane Road in Castle Hill after residents reported hearing alarming cries from a fourth-floor apartment.
A neighbor recounted being awakened by these urgent pleas for assistance.
Upon arrival, paramedics discovered a 44-year-old man critically injured in a garden area beneath the apartment complex, having plummeted approximately 15 meters. Tragically, despite their efforts, he could not be saved.
In a developing investigation, police took a 38-year-old man into custody at Castle Hill police station on Wednesday. Subsequently, a 30-year-old man and a 34-year-old woman were arrested at a residence in Woolloomooloo the following day.
All three individuals now face charges of murder.
Authorities are working to piece together the events leading up to the fall, as it appears the victim did not reside in the apartment in question.
It’s understood a party was underway inside the apartment before the incident, but by the time police and paramedics arrived, guests had already left.
The 38-year-old faced Parramatta Local Court yesterday and the other two were refused bail to face Bail Division Court 7 today.
