VOLUSIA COUNTY, Fla. – A tragic incident on Interstate 4 has led to the arrest of a woman from Deltona, following the deaths of three individuals, including a prominent Flagler County official and his spouse. This development comes shortly after prosecutors decided not to pursue charges against another suspect initially implicated in the case.
In light of new findings from the ongoing investigation, the Florida Highway Patrol has apprehended 47-year-old Alisa Lee Montalvo from Deltona. She now faces several serious charges:
-
• Three counts of vehicular homicide
-
• Three counts of leaving the scene of a crash involving death
-
• Leaving the scene of a crash involving serious bodily injury
-
• Reckless driving
-
Tampering with evidence
She is currently being held without bond.
The crash happened in October in the Deltona area, the FHP said, when a vehicle changed lanes into the path of another car and triggered a chain-reaction crash involving multiple vehicles. Three people were killed, including a motorcyclist and Flagler County Deputy County Administrator Jorge Salinas and his wife.
Earlier this month, troopers announced the arrest of 23-year-old Lindsey Isaacs of Ocala, but Friday News 6 obtained court records that show no information was filed against Isaacs by prosecutors.
Last week News 6 learned that her arraignment had been postponed after prosecutors revealed that new evidence had emerged in the case, though they declined to publicly disclose what it was.
The Florida Highway Patrol has said the investigation remains active and ongoing.
