Ryan Seacrest, the well-known television host, recently shared that he is experiencing a sense of ‘depression’ about his single status, nearly a year after ending his relationship with model Aubrey Paige.
The couple, who embarked on their romance in 2021, called it quits in 2024, and Seacrest has remained unattached since the split.
Seacrest, now 50, opened up about his feelings on a May 11 episode of “American Idol.” The revelation came after listening to a heartfelt performance from Thunderstorm Artis, one of the season’s top five contestants vying for the American Idol crown.
Artis performed an original song dedicated to his wife, which seemed to strike a chord with the seasoned host.
“Well done,” Seacrest complimented Artis during the show, as reported by Us Weekly.
He went on to praise the song’s poignant lyrics, sharing, “It is a beautiful song with beautiful lyrics. I just printed them out backstage: ‘Your green eyes are soft like the summer and your touch can put out the embers of my burning heart from that gray December.’”

Seacrest’s fellow Idol hosts Lionel Richie and Luke Bryan were also big fans of the melody, as they praised Artis for his touching songwriting skills.

The couple celebrated many good times together, including a ton of career milestones.

Last year, the dancer revealed during an appearance on Dax Shepard’s Armchair Expert podcast that when she began dating Seacrest, she didn’t want people to feel like she was using his name for fame.
‘The rug was swept up from underneath me, and I was just flying, and I was experiencing things that I didn’t even know existed,’ Hough said during the podcast. per Entertainment Weekly.
‘But then I had this insecurity that I was like, “I don’t ever want anybody to think that I’m with him for this reason.” And so I then started playing smaller.’
Hough also explained that after they broke up, many people questioned her decision, but there was nothing that could stop her.
