Donald Trump, an avid supporter of the mixed martial arts spectacle, previously announced his intention to host a UFC event on the South Lawn. This event is set to coincide with the celebrations of the United States’ 250th anniversary next month, as well as marking his 80th birthday.
According to Trump, the project will culminate in the creation of a “5,000-seat arena right outside the front door of the White House.”
In addition to the arena, large screens will be set up in the Ellipse park nearby to broadcast the fights. The UFC has announced plans to distribute up to 85,000 free tickets to allow spectators to enjoy the event from both locations.
Commenting on the public’s enthusiasm for the event, Trump recently remarked, “I have never seen anybody want anything so much as people want those tickets.” He added, “That’s gonna be something.”

“The card has been panned by fans online as underwhelming, featuring just two championship fights.
Brazil’s Alex Pereira will meet France’s Ciryl Gane for the interim UFC heavyweight title. Then Spanish-Georgian lightweight champion Ilia Topuria takes on interim champ Justin Gaethje, one of just two Americans who currently hold even a share of the UFC’s 11 championship belts.
