It seems Jaxson Dart’s recent introduction of former President Donald Trump has stirred some internal tensions within his team.
During a team meeting on Wednesday, Dart took the opportunity to address his fellow players about his appearance with Trump at Rockland Community College in Suffern, New York last week, as reported by Mike Garafolo of NFL Network.
Veteran players, including Brian Burns, Kayvon Thibodeau, and Jameis Winston, also shared their thoughts during the meeting, according to another report by Ian Rapaport from NFL Network.
Despite the potential for conflict, the meeting reportedly went smoothly, with the team deciding to “move forward,” as Garafolo noted.
Although Dart’s exact words to his teammates remain undisclosed, it’s evident that not everyone was initially pleased with his political involvement.
Pass rusher Abdul Carter expressed disbelief upon seeing the video, initially thinking it was an AI creation, and questioned the team’s direction as the clip gained traction on social media and sparked widespread discussion.
Carter has since said explained he “spoke man to man” with Dart and that it is no longer an issue, but it appears the headline-grabbing appearance was worth addressing to the larger group as well.

Dart is entering his second year and is expected to take a massive step forward both as a leader and on the field in 2026, as the Giants hope to reestablish themselves as a contender.
More to come on this developing story…
