A courageous mother from Napa Valley is fighting for her life after becoming a victim of a shocking road rage incident during Memorial Day weekend. The suspect, involved in a series of crimes across multiple counties, shot her in the back of the head.
Meagan Stasko is currently on the road to recovery following the terrifying ordeal, but she faces financial challenges, her sister Tara Stasko revealed.
“In an unprovoked attack, my sister was violently targeted by the assailant, who repeatedly rammed her vehicle,” Tara explained on a GoFundMe page. “After colliding with her car multiple times, he ultimately shot her in the back of the head. Miraculously, the gunshot was not fatal. We have since learned that her attacker was evading capture from a string of other crimes when he encountered Meagan,” she continued.
“Meagan will be unable to work for some time as she recovers. Any support is greatly appreciated, allowing her to focus on healing, moving forward, and caring for her daughter,” Tara added.
As of Friday morning, the fundraising effort has raised over $13,700 towards its $15,000 target, thanks to the generosity of donors.

The suspect in the case, 38-year-old Coleman Rocheleau, was caught by police after they received a 911 call reporting the shooting. Detectives used license plate cameras to identify the suspect’s car and used a a PIT maneuver, or Precision Immobilization Technique, to disable his car after a pursuit.
They arrested Rocheleau and booked him into the Hill Road Correctional Facility on charges connected to murder and torture.
Rochealeau is allegedly connected to a woman found dead at a home near Highway 29 and Point Lakeview Road in the Kelseyville Riviera area. He told investigators during an interview that there could be another victim inside a Lake County residence.
Lake County detectives conducted a welfare check inside the residence, which had a report of shots fired earlier that day, and found a woman dead. It’s unclear who the woman is or how she died.
The Lake County Sheriffâs Office says the investigation is ongoing.
