A man has been charged following a chaotic altercation at a soccer match in southwestern Sydney, where an 18-year-old reportedly suffered a bite wound.
The incident erupted around 3:30 p.m. during an under-17 boys’ soccer game at Amour Park in Revesby.
Authorities reported that several spectators stormed the field after a scuffle broke out between players.
Paramedics attended to the 18-year-old victim at the scene before he was transported to Liverpool Hospital for further medical care, including treatment for a bite mark on his back.
Following an investigation, police apprehended a 47-year-old man from Greenacre.
After investigations began, police arrested a 47-year-old Greenacre man.
He was taken to Bankstown Police Station, where he was charged with affray and assault occasioning actual bodily harm.
He was granted conditional bail to appear in Bankstown Local Court next month.
