As the upcoming primary elections approach, former President Donald Trump has made several strategic endorsements, focusing on key races in California, Iowa, Montana, New Jersey, New Mexico, and South Dakota. His support spans across gubernatorial, congressional, and Senate contests.
In a notable endorsement, Trump has backed U.S. Representative Randy Feenstra from Iowa in his bid for governor. Trump praised Feenstra as a leader who will work relentlessly to boost the economy, reduce taxes and regulations, promote U.S.-made products, and enhance American energy independence.
“Randy will tirelessly advocate for our fantastic farmers and ranchers, promote ethanol, and ensure our borders remain secure,” Trump stated on Truth Social. He also highlighted Feenstra’s commitment to law enforcement, military, veterans, election integrity, and the Second Amendment.
In California, a state with a strong Democratic presence that Republicans hope to challenge, Trump has endorsed Steve Hilton in the gubernatorial race. California’s top-two primary system allows all candidates to compete on the same ballot, with the two highest vote-getters proceeding to the general election, regardless of party affiliation.
During a rally in Clive, Iowa, Trump expressed his dissatisfaction with California’s current leadership. “Steve Hilton is an exemplary individual,” Trump commented, criticizing Governor Gavin Newsom and the state’s Democratic leadership for what he perceives as poor governance.
