GOP Rep. Gill: Jasmine Crockett 'Is a Race-Baiting Thug'

During a Friday appearance on Fox News Channel’s America Reports, Rep. Brandon Gill (R-TX) sharply criticized fellow Texan Rep. Jasmine Crockett (D-TX) over her response to the verdict in Karmelo Anthony’s murder trial.

Gill went on to describe Crockett as a “race-baiting thug.”

“I mean, this is absolutely despicable,” Gill said. “Imagine if that was your son — at a track meet, stabbed in cold blood, stabbed to death — and instead of receiving sympathy from people in your community, you had hooligans, thugs and race-baiters calling to say you should be next, that the rest of your family should suffer the same fate. That is so antithetical to everything this country stands for. It’s absolutely gross. But what disappoints me most is that you’ve got people in power — Jasmine Crockett, for instance, one of my fellow congresswomen — who is a race-baiting thug and who has stated very plainly, very recently, that the American people ought to have sympathy for Karmelo Anthony because he’s black, and for no other reason. That’s the kind of rhetoric that fuels racial division.”
