Making a highly anticipated comeback after a two-year absence, Catherine, 44, arrived at the Berkshire racecourse in a carriage alongside the Prince of Wales, as well as the Duke and Duchess of Richmond and Gordon.
As the royal mother-of-three chatted during the procession, crowds gathered to catch a glimpse of her. Among them was a little girl who excitedly called out, “Princess Kate!” as the carriage passed, prompting Catherine to immediately turn in her direction.
When the princess waved in response, the bashful child looked away, leading Catherine to joke, “I can still see you,” a remark that drew laughter from nearby onlookers.
