In the latest edition, Miller focused on the Chicago Bulls as the franchise moves ahead with new head coach Tiago Splitter and prepares for the upcoming NBA Draft. To get a broader perspective on the hire, she also spoke with a Portland Trail Blazers beat writer about what Splitter could bring to Chicago.
The program also checked in on both the Chicago White Sox and the Cubs. Miller additionally welcomed members of the St. Rita Mustangs, the newly crowned Class 3A state baseball champions, who captured the title last week in unusual fashion.
Miller also featured the Chicago Hounds, the city’s rugby team, which remains undefeated this season and is set to compete for a championship on Sunday.
The show noted a major moment in Chicago hockey as Blackhawks legend Jonathan Toews has retired. His next honor, Miller said, should be a statue outside the United Center.
