Firefighters in Broken Arrow, Oklahoma, extinguished a fire at a fireworks stand Saturday night, according to the city’s fire department.
In a Facebook update, the Broken Arrow Fire Department said crews arrived to find fireworks going off as the stand burned.
The department said firefighters were dispatched at about 8:50 p.m. Saturday to the area near East Kenosha Street and South 236th East Avenue.

When Engine 4 reached the scene, crews found the fireworks stand engulfed in flames as fireworks continued to detonate, officials said.

Additional crews soon arrived, and A-Shift firefighters brought the situation under control and put out the flames in roughly 20 minutes, the department said. No injuries were reported.
The incident came about two weeks before the Fourth of July, when fireworks sales and displays typically increase as Americans mark Independence Day.
