Massive search party deployed in Mexico for Nancy Guthrie
Fox News says authorities launched an extensive search in Mexico for Nancy Guthrie, the mother of Savannah Guthrie, after an anonymous lead pointed investigators to a possible shallow grave near the Nogales border. Christina Coleman reported that crews examined the site, but Nancy Guthrie was not located. The Pima County Sheriff’s Department says the case remains an active investigation.
Savannah Guthrie made an emotional appeal to viewers Tuesday, urging anyone with fresh details to contact authorities after reports surfaced that one ransom note sent to her family claimed her mother was dead.
“I just want to take the opportunity to ask people, to really to beg people to come forward. Somebody knows something. This is a new story today that is on your radar but this is the life that my sister lives, I live, my brother lives, our extended families live, our children live every day. We are in agony,” Savannah Guthrie said Tuesday.
