WNBA star Sophie Cunningham's alleged stalker arrested in Indianapolis

A 48-year-old man accused of stalking Indiana Fever guard Sophie Cunningham has been taken into custody in Indianapolis and is expected to appear before a judge for the first time on Thursday.

Kevin Singh was arrested Tuesday and now faces felony counts of stalking and intimidation, along with a misdemeanor harassment charge. A conviction could carry a potential prison sentence ranging from one to five years.

Prosecutors allege Singh personally delivered a package addressed to “Sophie” at Gainbridge Fieldhouse, which reportedly contained a Guns N’ Roses T-shirt sprayed with men’s cologne and a letter. Authorities say he later began sending Cunningham repeated social media messages, including some described as explicit.

A probable cause affidavit states that Singh’s conduct intensified in February, with prosecutors alleging his messages grew more menacing despite a cease-and-desist letter. He was eventually prohibited from entering the arena.

“The organization literally threatened me with JAIL,” Singh allegedly wrote to Cunningham on social media. “Over what?? Because you can’t stop looking at what I post?? Do you have ANY f***ing clue what that threat feels like? I can’t go there for ANY reason. Any concert, comedy show . . . bc if you, & your F***ed UP mental health.”

Singh has also filed a lawsuit against Pacers Sports & Entertainment, the Fever’s parent company, over his ban from the venue. In the complaint, he claims the decision caused him “financial losses, embarrassment, emotional distress, and loss of use of purchased event access.”

According to prosecutors, Cunningham initially thought Singh was ‘another guy posting nasty things,’ but is now taking more caution in public.

‘She has been staying in her home more, and she’s been having nightmares,’ read the court file, reported by Fox59.com. ‘Sophie Cunningham also said she feels like she is always watching her back, doesn’t feel safe and is fearful of Kevin Singh.’

Marion County Prosecutor Ryan Mears said the case has added weight due to Singh’s prior criminal history.

As reported by WISHTV.com, Singh is on probation in Hendricks County (Indiana) after pleading guilty to two counts of invasion of privacy. Prosecutors in that case dismissed a stalking charge and four other felonies, according to WISHTV.com.

Cunningham is sadly not the first Fever player to be stalked. In July of 2025, a man named Michael Lewis pleaded guilty to stalking Caitlin Clark and was subsequently given a 2.5-year jail sentence.

A Fever spokesperson declined to comment on the matter to The Daily Mail, citing pending litigation.

‘The internet has made it easier than ever to target, harass and intimidate others. Threats of violence, whether face-to-face or behind a keyboard, will be taken seriously,’ Mears said in a statement.

‘Coming forward is never easy, regardless of a person’s position or public profile. The victim is setting an example by speaking out. No one should have to endure harassment, intimidation or threats of violence, and every person deserves to feel safe in their workplace and throughout our community.’
