A disturbing cellphone recording shows the fatal instant a Florida Army veteran was shot amid a dispute over a parking spot at a Walmart, officials said.
Bart Diguglielmo, 62, was killed after gunfire erupted at about 12:28 p.m. Tuesday outside the Walmart on West McNab Road in North Lauderdale, the Broward County Sheriff’s Office said.
Detectives said Diguglielmo and an adult woman had gotten into a confrontation connected to a parking space shortly before the shooting occurred.

Officials have not disclosed further information about what sparked the altercation, nor have they said whether investigators view the woman’s self-defense account as credible. Prosecutors are expected to evaluate the completed case file before making a charging decision.
