Angelina Jolie’s twins, Vivienne and Knox, are set to celebrate their 18th birthday on Sunday.
Once they reach adulthood, the 51-year-old Oscar winner has indicated she is eager to leave the United States, saying she will at last be legally free to relocate abroad with all six children she shares with former husband Brad Pitt, 62.
Jolie revealed last year that she envisions spending more time in the scenic Cambodian city of Battambang, while keeping New York City as her stateside hub for professional commitments.
However, the Daily Mail has learned that her Los Feliz estate is complicating those plans.
The Eternals actress has yet to find a buyer for the sprawling property, which she first put on the market in early May with an asking price just shy of $30 million. Current real estate listings still show the compound as available.
“Angelina is smart, she knew it would take a while to sell the property even though it is gorgeous and legendary, because the housing market has slowed in Los Angeles, but it still is annoying,” a source told the Daily Mail.

The Daily Mail has contacted Jolie’s representatives and Sotheby’s International Realty for comment.
Jolie has been looking forward to July 12, the day Vivienne and Knox turn 18, because for her, it means freedom.
‘As soon as they turn 18, she can leave the US with them,’ the insider said. ‘She would never leave even one of them behind.
‘She can still leave even if the Los Feliz house has not sold, but that’s frustrating. It would be nice to be done with the past. However, she can go anywhere she wants, she has plenty of money. Her heart belongs to Cambodia.’
They continued: ‘She will have a base in New York City where she has plenty of friends like her ex Jonny Lee Miller and all her pals at her Atelier Jolie shop.’
In early May, The Eternals actress listed the 11,000 square-foot estate for $29.85 million through Ernie Carswell and his associates at Sotheby’s International Realty.
Built in 1913 and designed in a Beaux-Arts-style, the six bedroom, 10 bathroom house was once the residence of famed director Cecil B. DeMille who lived there until his death in 1959. The two acre lot boasts a swimming pool, pool house, guest house, tea house and arched fountains.

As well as an array of multi-aspect living rooms, there is also a stunning library room, a grand wood-paneled dining room, an old farmhouse style kitchen and multiple living spaces.
Jolie snapped up the property for $25 million in 2017 after leaving Pitt who had a home nearby.
The couple have children Maddox, 24, Pax, 22, Zahara, 21, Shiloh, 20, and twins Knox and Vivienne, 17. Maddox, Zahara and Knox have all dropped ‘Pitt’ from their last names, seemingly confirming rumors they are estranged from their dad.
Jolie first hinted at a move away from Los Angeles during an interview with The Hollywood Reporter in August 2024.
‘I grew up in this town,’ she said. ‘I am here because I have to be here from a divorce, but as soon as they’re 18, I’ll be able to leave.
‘When you have a big family, you want them to have privacy, peace, safety. I have a house now to raise my children, but sometimes this place can be… that humanity that I found across the world is not what I grew up with here.’
On where she will go next, she said: ‘I’ll spend a lot of time in Cambodia. I’ll spend time visiting my family members wherever they may be in the world.’
She later suggested politics have also played a part in her move. Speaking at the San Sebastián Film Festival in 2025, Jolie said: ‘I love my country, but I don’t at this time recognize my country.’

Pitt and Jolie reached a divorce settlement in January 2017, agreeing to keep proceedings private.
The Maleficent star filed for divorce from her husband – whom she had been in a relationship with since 2004, and married to since 2014 – in September 2016, citing ‘irreconcilable differences.’
They announced in a statement: ‘The parties and their counsel have signed agreements to preserve the privacy rights of their children and family by keeping all court documents confidential and engaging a private judge to make any necessary legal decisions and to facilitate the expeditious resolution of any remaining issues.
‘The parents are committed to act as a united front to effectuate recovery and reunification.’
The former couple owned a huge portfolio of property together, including a mansion in New Orleans, which they sold in October 2016, and their French estate Chateau Miraval, where they tied the knot.
Chateau Miraval is a 1,200-acre property was purchased by the now estranged couple for an estimated $60 million in 2012. They had previously leased it starting in 2008.
Jolie does not seem to have dated since her split from Pitt.
The F1 star, however, has moved on with jewelry executive Ines de Ramon. The two reportedly live together at his new home in Los Angeles.
Pitt purchased a $12 million Spanish-style mansion in the exclusive Outpost Estates in August 2025. The 8,385-square-foot estate with six bedrooms and eight bathrooms was previously owned by The Killers guitarist Dave Keuning.
