Woke Canadian woman living in US slapped teens for wearing MAGA clothing, cops say... now she's in ICE custody and will be DEPORTED

A Canadian national living in New Jersey is reportedly facing deportation after authorities say she slapped a teenage girl who was wearing pro-Trump, MAGA-style patriotic clothing.

Kaitlyn Tracey, 33, is accused of recording herself as she confronted the teen and several friends during Fourth of July festivities along the Jersey Shore.

Court records cited by NJ.com say the group was walking on the boardwalk when Tracey allegedly began scolding them over their “patriotic colored” sweatpants, then struck one girl across the face and body.

The clothing reportedly featured the words “Trump” and “ICE,” which prosecutors say appeared to be at the center of the confrontation.

The teen, whose exact age was withheld in the court paperwork, was not physically injured in the alleged incident.

Police said Tracey left the area after the encounter, but investigators later identified her and took her into custody on Monday.

She now faces charges including endangering the welfare of a child, simple assault, harassment and obstruction, and is expected to be deported to Canada.

Her husband, Matthew Geroni, later posted an emotional TikTok video in which he cried over her arrest, telling viewers, “I need help… my wife is being detained by ICE.” In an earlier post, he had shared a video wishing cancer on members of President Donald Trump’s family, including his youngest grandchildren, while dancing to George Michael’s “Faith.”

Tracey had entered the United States with a passport in 2024, the court records show, and she had been living in Asbury Park, New Jersey, with her husband.

It is unclear if she was there on a spousal visa or green card.

Her husband Geroni begged for money in his emotional TikTok video, saying he urgently needed an immigration attorney but ‘I don’t have any money, I am so f***ing broke.’

Geroni said he initially launched a GoFundMe to help get his wife out of Immigration and Customs Enforcement detention, but the fundraiser was pulled down after it was reported.

He claimed the fundraiser was pulled down due to it being reported by ‘MAGA people’, however GoFundMe policies dictate that fundraisers are not allowed if they are raising money for someone accused of crimes.

The Daily Mail has contacted GoFundMe for further information.

Geroni said his wife turned herself in to police after discovering there was a warrant out for her arrest following the alleged slap on the Jersey Shore boardwalk.

He said she was initially held at the Ocean County jail before being moved to Delaney Hall, an ICE immigration center in New Jersey.

The husband did not mention his wife’s alleged attack on the teenage girl in his pleas for help from his followers, at one point saying it was ‘irrelevant.’

‘I don’t care what your opinions are of me or the situation,’ he said in one video. ‘That’s kind of irrelevant, the only thing that matters is her safety.’

Geroni’s social media pages include videos hoping for the death of Republican Senator Mitch McConnell, who was recently hospitalized.

Tracey is next scheduled to appear in court on August 4, court records showed.
