Brexton Busch, the 11-year-old son of NASCAR champion Kyle Busch, delivered a memorable performance on Friday night with a victory that quickly drew attention across the racing community.
Racing at Port City Raceway in Oklahoma, Brexton entered multiple divisions and came away with a win in the restricted micro sprint class, according to Motorsport.
His mother, Samantha Busch, captured the emotional night on social media, posting an Instagram photo of Brexton standing proudly on top of the podium after the win.
“There was a lot of emotions to say the very least,” she wrote in one post. “Beyond proud of him, not just for winning but all that he’s navigating at a young age.”
Samantha added that she was “beyond grateful for all the support and amazing people we have around us,” reflecting on the encouragement surrounding Brexton’s young racing career.
Samantha, 40, also shared that Brexton was competing in one of his dad’s former cars, posting video to her Instagram Story of the youngster crossing the finish line.

Brexton officially returned to the track just two weeks after his father’s death at Charlotte Motor Speedway, carrying on the racing journey his family set out.
Busch, 41, passed away on May 21 after being rushed to hospital when he became unresponsive in a race simulator near Charlotte, North Carolina.
It was later revealed that the married father of two had pneumonia, which led to sepsis, causing his blood to clot and impeding his organs before he went into hemorrhagic shock.
Last month, Samantha penned an emotional message after going through the first Father’s Day without him following his sudden and tragic death.
‘This still doesn’t feel real at all,’ Samantha captioned the post.

She revealed, ”I was up all night thinking about what today should have looked like for Kyle and the kids. The Father’s Day cards that were already made, sitting in a drawer with no one to give them to. Trying to figure out how to navigate a day that should be filled with so much joy for them.’
‘He was the dad who never missed a chance to be silly, race the kids around the neighborhood, wrap them in his arms, or stay up a little longer for one more book, one more question, one more moment.’
She added that nothing made Kyle ‘prouder’ than being a father.

Samantha’s husband Kyle died suddenly of sepsis caused by pneumonia back in May
‘Kyle, the kids and I miss you every second of every day,’ she continued. ‘Our hearts ache for you, but it’s more than that. Your absence is something we physically feel.
‘Our bodies hurt from missing you, from reaching for someone who isn’t there, from loving someone we can’t hold anymore.
‘I will keep telling your stories, sharing your laughs, and making sure Brexton and Lennix always know just how deeply they were loved by their dad.’
She ended the post, wishing her husband a Happy Father’s Day – while writing that the family ‘love you and miss you more more than words can say.’
