Kelly Clarkson did not hold back while chatting with the crowd during a break in the music at her Studio Sessions Las Vegas residency last weekend.
The American Idol winner — who is reportedly wrapping up her NBC talk show — opened up to fans about a stomach bug that sent her straight to the bathroom after a recent performance.
Before getting into the story, Clarkson warned the audience that things were about to get personal, saying, ‘This is TMI but I’m gonna go ahead and say it.’
She then appeared to refer to the cyclospora produce outbreak, joking, ‘I don’t know what’s wrong with me. I don’t know if I got that thing, you know, that people, like, eat lettuce s***. I don’t know what the f***.’
‘But last night during the show, I was like, “Oh, my God.” And I get back to my room, and I have never been so happy there is not a man in the room,’ she continued.
The Grammy-winning singer then turned the candid moment into a joke about her love life, telling the crowd, ‘I’m going to be single until I’m dead, it’s fine. I’m gonna find another weird motherf***er out there.’

The singer said her sickness was worse than the famous scene in the 2011 comedy Bridesmaids, in which several characters simultaneously endure food poisoning.
‘Bridesmaids ain’t got s*** on what happened in my life,’ she said by comparison. ‘I was like, “Oh, Lord.” And you know the part where you think it’s over… it has to be over? No, girl.’
She wrapped up the bit by pointing out, ‘You know what’s awesome? They have warm toilets for you here.’
A clip of the hilarious rant was shared by a fan, @dadsbydesign, on Instagram days later.
Clarkson has been single since her split from late ex-husband Brandon Blackstock in 2020. Their divorce was finalized in 2022.
Blackstock died from the skin cancer melanoma at age 48 nearly one year ago in August 2025.
The exes shared daughter River, 12, and son Remy, 10.
In a statement shared online last summer, shortly before his death, Clarkson revealed a health-related issue with her ex-spouse forced her to postpone her Las Vegas residency.

The talk show host has been in good spirits lately, keeping fans entertained with her big personality and sense of humor while on stage.
Last week she joked about getting fired by NBC after announcing the end of her eponymous talk show, which aired on the network.
She previously confirmed she would be stepping away from the Kelly Clarkson Show after seven years to spend more time with her children.
During a Friday performance at Caesars Palace, she quipped: ‘I would get fired by NBC but I don’t work there anymore.’
Her show premiered on September 9, 2019, and ran for seven successful seasons.
One week ago she took to Instagram to share with her eight million followers that the show, which will conclude this fall, has received 11 Daytime Emmy nominations.
‘Thank y’all so much! I’m so stoked for our whole team and feeling very blessed ❤️,’ she wrote.
