CHICAGO — The Black Women’s Expo, the nation’s longest-running exposition dedicated to celebrating Black women, their families and their communities, returns to Chicago this summer for its 31st annual three-day event. The highly anticipated gathering will take place Friday, July 31, through Sunday, Aug. 2, at McCormick Place’s North Building, Hall C1.
This year’s theme, “We Matter,” sets the tone for a powerful weekend filled with cultural icons, thought leaders, entertainers and community voices who will uplift, inform and energize attendees across three days of programming.

Headlining the Main Stage
Joy Reid – Friday, July 31
Political commentator and host of “The Joy Reid Podcast,” Joy Reid will open the weekend’s marquee programming with “A Conversation with Joy Reid” at 2:30 p.m. on the Main Stage.
