Hulu brought a packed slate of updates to San Diego Comic-Con, with several fan-favorite animated shows taking the spotlight.
At the “Family Guy” panel, executive producer and showrunner Rich Appel confirmed that the long-running series will once again deliver both Halloween and holiday specials.
The Halloween episode, titled “Happy Hell-o-ween,” sends Stewie and Brian to Hell, where they are forced to answer for 24 seasons of bad behavior. There, they cross paths with the Devil, voiced by Kieran Culkin, and after getting on his nerves, they somehow wind up running the place.
The holiday special, “The Peter Clause,” follows Peter and the guys as they compete to become Quahog’s official Santa. Peter, unsurprisingly, does not come out on top. Faced with the choice to accept defeat gracefully or spiral into the kind of chaos that makes for a standout episode, he picks the latter.
Both specials are set to stream later this year, while season 25 of “Family Guy” is scheduled to arrive on Hulu and Hulu on Disney+ in 2027.
“Bob’s Burgers” had its own Comic-Con reveal as well. Creator and executive producer Loren Bouchard announced a holiday short titled “On the Fort Day of Christmas,” which finds the Belcher kids caught in a record-breaking Christmas snowstorm — the perfect excuse, in their minds, to build a record-breaking Christmas snow fort.
The “Bob’s Burgers” holiday short will also stream later this year, with season 17 of the series expected to debut in 2027.
Hulu also shared fresh “Futurama” news directly from Comic-Con.

The show also announced three extended length episodes, including a holiday special, are in production.
Two new episodes of “Futurama” premiere August 3 on Hulu and Hulu on Disney+, with new episodes dropping Mondays.
