ORLANDO, Fla. – A fan-favorite act from Creative City Project’s annual IMMERSE festival is stepping out of the street-party spotlight and into a show of its own.

The Orlando Vocal Collective is preparing a more up-close concert experience, built around lush vocal arrangements, powerhouse harmonies and standout lead performances from some of Central Florida’s top singers.

Founder Chris Keogh said audiences will get to see the Orlando Vocal Collective in a setting that feels more personal, vulnerable and emotionally direct.

“At IMMERSE, our performances are designed to take over the streets,” Keogh said. “They’re big, energetic celebrations of legendary names in music. This production lets us pull the audience in closer and really highlight what makes OVC special: the voices, the arrangements and the chemistry between the artists onstage.”

The Orlando concert will showcase 11 vocalists backed by a four-piece band, with the group putting its own spin on well-known hits tied to music icons including Janet Jackson, Earth, Wind & Fire, Beyoncé and Michael Jackson.

Keogh also offered a behind-the-scenes look at the planning required to bring a performance of this scale to life.

“Long before we pick a song or walk into rehearsal, there are weeks of discussions about budgets, venue contracts, calendars and all of the practical details that aren’t flashy, but are absolutely essential,” Keogh explained.

“After the date and location are locked in, we can start shaping the creative vision,” Keogh said. “That includes refining a stage design that does more than frame the performance — it becomes part of the storytelling. Each visual decision helps define the world of the show.”

Performances are 75 minutes and take place at a venue in the heart of downtown Orlando.

“I hope people leave believing a little more deeply in what can happen when artists are given the space to fully become themselves. OVC began as an idea for one performance, and now we are stepping into a room of our own, building a world around these voices and asking audiences to meet us there. To me, that says something powerful about what is possible when people believe in an idea, nurture it, and allow it to grow.”

The show runs Aug. 6-8. Tickets are $38 per person. Click here for more information.
