The Department of War is looking into claims that the Air Force has withheld two cellphone videos said to show a 100-foot, triangular UFO over a military installation in Colorado.
The review comes just days after The Post reported on the alleged coverup. Acting Pentagon Press Secretary Joel Valdez said Wednesday that the agency is “actively investigating” where the two videos are and whether they can be released. The clips were reportedly recorded on back-to-back nights in 2023 by a service member.
“We will release what we find under PURSUE on war.gov/ufo,” Valdez said.
The Presidential Unsealing and Reporting System for UAP Encounters, known as PURSUE, has served as the Trump administration’s portal for publishing batches of UFO files, drawing billions of visits to the website.
According to sources, the two classified videos allegedly depict a 100-foot triangle-shaped UFO flying near a Colorado military base, moving over mountain terrain and appearing to camouflage itself in cloud cover.
Those sources said the recordings are being kept by the Air Force Office of Special Investigations in Colorado under file numbers IRR1669S015524 and IRR1669S005024.
The Trump administration’s latest UFO files release disclosed that government employees reported seeing a triangular UFO near Colorado Springs in 2023.
Valdez said there is currently no timeline for when, or if, the videos may be made public.
The administration announced on July 21 that it would waive non-disclosure agreements for former government employees and contractors who have information on UFO programs in an effort to draw out further information on any highly secretive programs.
