Ben Affleck marked his 54th birthday on Saturday with a low-key outing in Santa Monica, spending part of the day near ex-wife Jennifer Garner and their children.
The family moment came two months after a painful loss for the Oscar winner, whose mother, Chris Anne, died on June 2 at age 83 following a battle with pancreatic cancer.
The Good Will Hunting star opted for a relaxed but polished look, wearing a white striped shirt with dark navy trousers.
He finished the daytime ensemble with comfortable shoes and a pair of sunglasses as he headed out in the coastal city.
Affleck stopped at the upscale market Farmshop with Fin, 17, and Samuel, 14, the two youngest children he shares with Garner. The former couple also share daughter Violet, 20, though the college student was not seen on the outing.
The actor was photographed walking through a busy parking lot with Fin and Samuel, and at one point the trio appeared in upbeat spirits as they smiled together.

The star pulled back her locks into a low updo and added a blue cap on top of her head for a finishing touch.
Garner was seen walking with a pal who was also dressed in workout attire for the outing.
Daily Mail has reached out to reps for Affleck for comment, but has yet to hear back.
Last year, the Hollywood actor also celebrated his birthday by spending time with Fin and Samuel as they grabbed lunch at Huckleberry Cafe in Santa Monica.
The passing of Affleck’s mother was revealed by family last month in July, per a Legacy obituary.
She had been informed by doctors she had six months to live last year in December, and her last wish was to see her grandson’s high school graduation, according to the obit.

‘Losing your mom is an unimaginable loss at any age, and they’re grieving deeply,’ the source told People.
‘But they’re surrounded by an incredible support system, and their kids have been a real source of comfort and strength during this heartbreaking time. The family is leaning on one another, and they’ll get through it together.’
Casey and his ex-wife Summer Phoenix are also the parents of two grown sons called Indiana, 22, and Atticus, 18.
Chris Anne’s time of death was listed at 10:52am, and her body was taken to the Las Vegas facility Earth Funeral at the time the certificate was filed. An autopsy was not conducted.
Affleck, speaking with The Hollywood Reporter in 2012 about Chris Anne, said, ‘My mother taught public school, went to Harvard and then got her master’s there and taught fifth and sixth grade in a public school.’
She was a staunch advocate for civil rights, and had traveled to the South in the 1960s during a time of social change, according to her obituary.
