A South Carolina mother is accused of allowing men to sexually abuse her two young daughters, ages 4 and 7, in exchange for cash and drugs, authorities said.
Helena Nichole Hoyle, 27, allegedly trafficked the children and was present during at least one assault, sitting on the floor and scrolling through TikTok on her phone while one of her daughters was being abused, the Post and Courier reported Tuesday.
Hoyle, a resident of Bonneau, was arrested Friday and charged with two counts of trafficking and child neglect.
During interviews with police, the girls said they had been sexually assaulted multiple times by several unidentified men, according to investigators with the Berkeley County Sheriff’s Office.
Investigators allege Hoyle exchanged access to the children for money and illegal drugs, though the report did not specify the amount of money involved or identify the substances allegedly received.
The children also described severely unsafe living conditions, telling police their home had no running water, leaving them unable to bathe or brush their teeth and forcing them to use a bucket instead of a toilet.
Hoyle was booked into the Berkeley County Jail, where her bond was set at $250,000.
