Rep. Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez’s public decision to freeze her eggs is fueling new speculation about her political future, with conservative podcaster Michael Knowles claiming on the latest episode of “Pod Force One” that it may be the strongest indication yet that the “Squad” member is positioning herself for a 2028 presidential run.
Ocasio-Cortez (D-NY) has been sharing the process in detail through an Instagram vlog, saying the procedure is meant to help her “feel more in control of my life” and “empowered.” Knowles, however, framed the videos through a political lens, arguing that, in his view, the Democratic Socialists of America’s influence over the Democratic Party has reached a decisive point.
“What is she putting it off for?” the host of “The Michael Knowles Show” on the Daily Wire said, referring to what he characterized as the New York Democrat’s choice to delay having children.
“It seems clear to me that that egg freezing video might as well have been a presidential campaign announcement,” Knowles said. “She is being talked up to run for president. I interviewed the vice president not so long ago. He said she’s the leader of the pack in the party right now, and I think it’s all really sad that she puts her career ahead of this thing that she clearly also wants.”
Knowles described Ocasio-Cortez as “the voice of the millennial generation” and argued that her decision to freeze her eggs is both “sad” and emblematic of broader pressures facing Americans in her age group.
“She puts the adulation and applause of others over a family life that she also clearly seems to want, and really, there’s nothing uncommon about that for her,” he said. “I think that’s what a ton of millennials do, and that’s really sad.
“So, the really sad conclusion is, stunts like that make it much more likely that AOC will be elected president, and it also means that she’ll probably be very unhappy.”
Knowles placed Ocasio-Cortez’s egg-freezing vlog within what he described as a larger battle over the future of the Democratic Party — a fight he contends has already been won by socialists aligned with the DSA.

“This fight that you’re supposedly having within the Democratic Party. It’s already done,” Knowles argued. “It’s a fait accompli that the socialists took over the Democrat Party.

“It’s AOC’s party now, and Chuck Schumer and Nancy Pelosi are just living in it.”
Knowles, who also hosts “The Book Club” at PragerU, noted that Democrats and the DSA “basically agree on everything.”
“There is some slight disagreement over how much they hate the state of Israel. There is some disagreement on whether or not we should abolish all the prisons or just let most of the criminals out of prison, but they basically all support abortion on demand, transing the kids, amnesty for illegal aliens, raising taxes, taking people’s property away, on down the line,” he said.
“I don’t really see any difference.”
