A New York man who disappeared during a business trip to Nashville was located dead by private investigators less than five hours after his family brought them into the search.
The body of 31-year-old Conor Anderson was discovered last Thursday in a wooded area beside a parking lot near Nashville’s James Robertson Parkway, four days after he was last seen alive.
Authorities have not yet determined Anderson’s cause of death, but newly released details are shedding light on the search that ultimately led investigators to him.
According to Covert Results, a private investigation firm, Anderson’s relatives hired the company to assist in the effort to find him.
The investigative team began by piecing together Anderson’s final known movements, going to the part of Nashville where he had last been spotted, reviewing surveillance video and interviewing potential witnesses.
As part of the search, investigators also spoke with “unhoused individuals” who “regularly spend time in the area,” information that helped direct them toward the James Robertson Parkway location.
Anderson, originally from Huntington, New York, and most recently living in Colorado, was found shortly before 6 p.m. Thursday in what investigators described as a “heavily wooded and difficult to access area,” less than five hours after the private firm had been retained.
