Its ruched effect at the waist and hips was perhaps less than flattering, but nevertheless it failed to detract from the star’s stunning curves.

The clinging gown also featured a dramatic low-cut neckline and a trailing fishtail hemline.

Carol went all out in creating her red carpet look, opting for glamorous hair and sultry makeup.

She styled her shiny brunette hair into a side parting and voluminous curls and appeared to be wearing false eyelashes.

She also sported a subtle tan and wore bronze lipstick for a sun-kissed look.

The Pride of Britain Awards have been an annual event since 1999, held in recognition of British people who have acted bravely in challenging situations.

The 15th year of the event has been backed by more than 100 stars and public figures including David Beckham, the Prince of Wales and the Duke of Cambridge, and global sports star Usain Bolt, the six times Olympic sprint champion and fastest man in the world.

Beckham presented the teenager of courage award to Malala Yousafzai, the 16-year-old Pakistani teenager who shot in the head by the Taliban after campaigning for girls’ education.
