White House Launches Retro Arcade Games to Push Trump Agenda

WASHINGTON – The White House website on Thursday rolled out Arcade, a set of five retro-style, low-resolution video games designed to spotlight key pieces of President Donald Trump’s agenda.

One game, “Build the Wall,” borrows heavily from the mechanics of “Tetris,” recasting the familiar block-stacking format as a mission to “Protect the border from the coming horde.” Another, “Rio Run,” echoes the mobile classic “Snake,” with a Trump-like icon moving around the screen to collect potential border crossers.

“Supply Line” takes its cues from the arcade game “Tapper,” shrinking the format into an assembly-line challenge in which players sort through moving food items and reject anything that fails to meet “Make America Healthy Again” standards.

The remaining two titles are set above Washington landmarks. In “Flappy Bill,” an eagle transports a bill over the National Mall, while “Trump Savings Tycoon” asks players to grab cash floating through the sky to “Fill your kids’ Trump Accounts,” a savings plan from the administration that provides $1,000 for every child born during Trump’s term.
