Princess Diana's twin nieces Lady Amelia and Lady Eliza Spencer showcase their elegant Autumnal style for launch of Equestrian Grace collection by designer brand Marc Cain

Princess Diana’s twin nieces, Lady Amelia Spencer and Lady Eliza Spencer, brought polished autumn style to the spotlight this week at a launch event for luxury fashion house Marc Cain.

The society sisters looked effortlessly refined as they posed within the expansive grounds of the Four Seasons Hotel in Hampshire on Wednesday, where the brand was marking the debut of its latest Equestrian Grace collection.

Lady Eliza embraced a chic countryside-inspired look, wearing a long-sleeved shirt with a tweed mini skirt, dark ankle boots and bold gold stud earrings.

Lady Amelia, 34, chose a softer layered ensemble, styling a light brown coat over a sleeveless mini dress and heels. Mirroring her sister’s sleek beauty look, she wore her hair swept back to highlight a pair of strikingly similar earrings.

Marc Cain’s new luxury fashion collection, which launched on September 2, includes a range of elegant designs intended to blend classic “heritage codes” with a fresh sense of “modern femininity.”

On Instagram, the label offered a glimpse behind the scenes of Amelia and Eliza’s photoshoot across the hotel’s 500-acre estate, describing the twins as bringing “fashion to the countryside.”

Later that evening, the Spencer sisters attended an alfresco dinner at the luxury Hampshire hotel, joining a guest list that included Renee Stewart, daughter of music legend Rod Stewart.

Their appearance follows recent attention around Lady Eliza, who last week spoke publicly about Prince Harry and Meghan Markle’s return to the UK, making her the first member of the Duke of Sussex’s family to comment on the visit.

During a launch event for her Lala V rose on the same day that Harry and Meghan touched down in Birmingham, Eliza said it was ‘exciting’ that her cousin, 41, was back in Britain.

The daughter of Earl Spencer, who hosted the Sussexes at the family’s ancestral seat during their visit to the UK last month, told The Mirror: ‘We would love to be able to find some time to visit.’

When asked whether she would swap wine-making secrets with Harry’s wife Meghan Markle, 45, who launched her own rosé last July, Lady Eliza kept things open-ended when she said: ‘Maybe!’

Lady Eliza and her fiancé Channing Millerd marked the launch of their £27-a-bottle wine at luxury drinks retailer Hackstons in Knightsbridge on Wednesday.

In comparison, Meghan’s Napa Valley rosé, sold under her lifestyle brand As Ever, retails for £22.

While Lady Eliza was raising a toast to her latest business venture, Prince Harry, Meghan and their two children, Archie, seven, and Lilibet, five, were being whisked away to their new home – widely believed to be in the Cotswolds.

The socialite and drinks entrepreneur is the only family member to have spoken publicly about Harry’s surprise return to the UK after living in Montecito, California, for nearly six years.

It remains to be seen whether the Sussexes will be invited to Lady Eliza’s nuptials after she hinted at her wedding plans with the South African businessman earlier this month.

Lady Eliza suggested she was ‘wedding venue hunting’ as she shared glamorous photos from a recent getaway to the Amalfi Coast.

Soaking up the sunshine with a pair of stylish sunglasses, Eliza captioned the spread of 10 images: ‘Wedding venue hunting begins… @palazzoavino you have completely stolen our hearts’.

The striking ‘Lila’ swimsuit from ALT retails for £150 and features an open back which Lady Eliza had personalised with the words ‘Future Mrs M’ – a loving tribute to her businessman fiancé.

‘Wow wow wow wow,’ commented her twin sister, while her brother-in-law Greg Mallett, who first introduced the loved-up pair to one another in 2016, wrote: ‘So beautiful Lala’.

The couple have previously spoken about their desire to have a destination wedding, with Lake Como one of the many locations in the running. However, few plans about the big day have been publicly disclosed yet.

Channing popped the question to high-flying socialite Lady Eliza in Santorini last July during a romantic candlelit dinner overlooking the sea.

The entrepreneur sought to create the picture-perfect engagement for Lady Eliza, and even scoured diamond merchants across South Africa to find the dream stone for her £40,000 ring – which pays tribute to the late Princess Diana.

With the help of his father and brother-in-law, he eventually settled on a 2.5-carat, pear-cut diamond that he found in a bespoke jewellers in Cape Town.

Channing, an entrepreneur and brand chief operating officer, then designed the ring himself after speaking to Eliza about the shapes she loves.

‘It’s perfect – the most beautiful ring ever – and so special that it’s from South Africa,’ said Eliza, who moved to the country in 1995 to avoid the media attention brought by her family’s name.

In January, the couple kicked off the wedding festivities with an intimate engagement party in Cape Town.

Eliza was ever bit the radiant bride-to-be as she celebrated her engagement at a glamorous rooftop party attended by 50 of ‘the people we love most’, she wrote on Instagram.

The model showed off her dazzling engagement ring while posing with her beau, her sisters, Lady Amelia and Lady Kitty, and their mother, former model Victoria Aitken, in photos posted on Instagram.

However, one family member was conspicuously absent from the photographs, as it appeared Eliza’s father, Charles Spencer, skipped the party amid reports of a rumoured Spencer feud.

Princess Diana’s brother, who failed to wish Eliza when she announced her engagement to the South African entrepreneur, did not attend either Kitty or Amelia’s weddings in 2021 and 2023 respectively.

Rumours of a family rift first began in July 2021, when Charles skipped his eldest daughter Kitty’s Italian wedding to retail millionaire Michael Lewis and failed to post about the landmark family occasion on his social media accounts.

Instead, Lady Kitty – who is 32 years younger than her husband – was walked down the aisle by her brother Louis Spencer, Viscount Althorp, 29, and Samuel.

A source told Our News Outlet at the time: Kitty and Charles were very close when she was growing up, but their relationship has cooled and been more distant since his marriage to his third wife, Karen, in 2011.

‘Charles recently suffered an injury and perhaps that will be the reason for him not travelling, but it is just easier for everyone that he is not there.

‘The four children are all close to their mother, Victoria, and get on well with their step-siblings, and their Spencer aunts and have forged their own relationships with one another without needing Charles to bind them together.’
