A bizarre scene unfolded on the George Washington Bridge.
A shirtless man was filmed moving around on the bed of a flatbed truck as it crossed the George Washington Bridge, while alarmed onlookers tried to get the driver’s attention, according to video of the risky stunt.
Arnesia Crawford was seen pacing across the moving metal platform on the upper level of the iconic New York City span above the Hudson River around 11 a.m. on Sept. 3, News12 reported Wednesday.
The 28-year-old Fort Lee resident jumped up and down, grabbed his crotch and appeared to sing toward passing motorists, according to the TikTok clip.
“Only in NYC… WILD,” TikTok user John Ortiz wrote alongside the footage, which appeared to be recorded from inside the cab of another truck.
At one point, Crawford moved toward the front of the truck near the cab, climbed onto a raised section of the flatbed, then hopped back down to the main platform.
Moments later, he started dancing again as the person filming drove past the dangerous roadside spectacle.
Several cars and trucks could be seen trailing behind the moving flatbed as the incident played out.
Drivers honked their horns several times to alert the trucker of the stowaway.
“There’s a guy!” the man who filmed shouted at the driver.
It wasn’t immediately clear how Crawford got onto the trailer or whether the truck driver was aware of the antics going on his vehicle.
Port Authority Police arrested Crawford when the truck crossed the bridge at around 11 a.m.
Crawford was removed from the trailer and hit with a slew of charges including aggravated assault, resisting arrest, and disorderly conduct.
After his arrest, Crawford was taken to a hospital for further evaluation, the outlet reported.
Officials didn’t release additional information surrounding the incident or whether Crawford was suffering from any mental health issues or under the influence of drugs.
