Inside Halle Berry's staggering $90million fortune

Halle Berry has officially brought her divorce from Olivier Martinez to a close, seven years after the former couple separated, with the settlement requiring the actress to pay her ex-husband $8,000 a month.

Although Martinez has enjoyed a successful acting career of his own, with credits including Unfaithful and The Horseman On The Roof, the substantial financial terms are likely tied to Berry’s far larger fortune, which has been reported at around $90 million.

Berry and Martinez went their separate ways just three years after tying the knot.

So how did Halle Berry build her multimillion-dollar empire? Read on for a closer look.

The former Bond girl also owns an enviable beachfront home in Malibu, California, one of the most coveted stretches of real estate on the West Coast.

Berry purchased the property for $8.5 million in 2004, and nearly two decades later, the Malibu beach house is likely worth significantly more than its original price tag.

There is no trouble fitting the four bedrooms – each with their own balcony – and five bathrooms into the 5,000 square-foot space, with the actress’ room featuring stunning sea views.

The home also has an elevator, an open floor plan, floor-to-ceiling windows, and a modern, mostly white design throughout.

Halle rarely shows anything from her private life, but has shown some of it off sporadically on her Instagram profile.

These have revealed a minimalist fitted kitchen, and gorgeous private outdoor jacuzzi at the back of the house which is coupled with a patio giving access to the sea.

If that is not enough, there is also an open-air swimming pool, and rooftop area.

How much does Halle Berry make from acting?

As well as recording the actress’ total fortune, Celebrity Net Worth also claim that her salary per film has been steadily increasing since the millennium.

They report that she earned a career record of $2.5m for 2001’s Swordfish, before getting $4m for Die Another Day in 2002.

In 2004, she supposedly earned $14m for 2004’s Catwoman reboot, after which she has been earning roughly $10m for each major film – including John Wick and X-Men roles.

How else does Halle Berry make money?

Berry’s fortune will also be brought up by any other properties she owns, including a $6m Hollywood home referred to by Hello Magazine.

Her acting and modelling money will also be added to by a number of investments and endorsements working adding to her paycheck.

In 1996 she signed an endorsement with beauty company Revlon, which was renewed eight years later.

More recently, she became an investor in, and Chief Communications Officer of Pendulum Therapeutics – a biotech company selling gut-health supplements.

She spoke of her pride in February 2023: ‘I am so excited to be a part of this team and it’s now my job to bring you guys all the information I can about it.’

What are Halle Berry’s other divorce settlements?

Halle has previously been married to David Justice from 1993 to 1997, and Eric Benet from 2001 to 2005.

However, there is no suggestion that she is paying out to either of those two.

What will be eating into her fortune, is paying her ex-boyfriend Gabriel Aubry up to $110,000 every year to support their shared daughter Nahla.

With the agreed settlement with Martinez on top of that, it makes $206,000 every year going to ex-partners – admittedly meaning she is over 400 years from hitting a net worth of $0 at that rate.
