Two women killed in a quadruple shooting at a North Carolina home have been publicly identified, as investigators said the primary suspects later died following a police chase.
Victoria “Heather” Moore, 50, and Megan “Josiah” Moore, 38, were named as the victims fatally shot Thursday inside a residence in Gastonia, a city near Charlotte.
Gaston County Police confirmed the two deaths and said Camryn Moore, 26, and Cory Armstrong, 29, had been identified as the main suspects in the deadly shooting.
Public records and social media posts indicate Camryn was Victoria Moore’s daughter.
Authorities said Camryn and Armstrong both lived at the Gastonia address and fled after the shooting. Two other victims remained hospitalized in critical but stable condition.
Police had asked the US Marshals Service for help locating the pair, who were expected to face two counts of murder and two counts of attempted murder.
On Friday, troopers with the Ohio State Highway Patrol spotted their vehicle and tried to initiate a traffic stop, but the suspects drove off, sparking a pursuit.
Officials said the chase ended when the pair crashed while trying to evade spike strips deployed by law enforcement.
Officers then reported hearing two gunshots from inside the vehicle. A drone was used to inspect the car, where Camryn and Armstrong were later found dead.

A statement from Gaston County Police said: ‘The Gaston County Police Department would like to thank the U.S. Marshals Service, Ohio State Highway Patrol, and all local, state and federal law enforcement agencies that assisted throughout this investigation.
‘Their cooperation and coordination were instrumental in quickly locating the suspects across multiple jurisdictions.
‘This was a tragic act of violence that resulted in the loss of multiple lives and left others critically injured.
‘From the moment our officers arrived on scene, our focus was on identifying those responsible and locating them as quickly as possible.
‘The coordination between our detectives and our local, state and federal law enforcement partners was critical in tracking these suspects across multiple states.
‘Although the search for the suspects has ended, our investigation has not. Gaston County Police will continue working to fully investigate the circumstances surrounding this shooting and remains committed to protecting and serving our community.’
According to her LinkedIn profile, Victoria worked for a commerce company in data processing.
In a question and answer posted to the company site, she repeatedly talked about her family.

She said: ‘I have five children — four girls and one boy — and they keep me busy. We love outdoor movies, s’mores around the firepit, and game nights. There is never a dull moment in our crazy house. I love it!
‘We have a huge farmhouse with a couple of acres, too many animals, and a never-ending list of things we need to do. It’s my happy place.’
Alongside the question and answer she also shared an image of herself out for dinner alongside two of her daughters and Camryn.
