Kevin Costner and his former wife, Christine Baumgartner, crossed paths awkwardly on Tuesday, just days after the actor was seen with a significantly younger female companion.
The 71-year-old Yellowstone star and 52-year-old Baumgartner were both in Santa Barbara to watch their 19-year-old son, Cayden, compete in a beach volleyball game.
The former couple also share Hayes, 17, and Grace, 16. Although both stood on the sidelines, they did not appear to speak or interact, and were not photographed together.
Costner opted for a relaxed look, wearing a white T-shirt with coordinating jeans as he joined his shirtless son on the beach.
The Oscar winner completed the casual outfit with sunglasses and a large black backpack.
Baumgartner wore a green T-shirt tucked into white jeans, along with a matching green baseball cap.
The Daily Mail has contacted Costner’s representative for comment.

The Hollywood star’s divorce from Baumgartner, his second wife, was finalized in February 2024 following a closely watched dispute over money and assets.
The proceedings highlighted the family’s extraordinary spending, including Baumgartner’s request for $248,000 a month in child support after she filed for divorce.
Court filings stated that Costner earned $19,517,064 in 2022, while the family’s expenses totaled $6,645,285, excluding taxes.
Baumgartner said the family had “traveled the world in private planes” and stayed in luxury hotels and private homes. The filings also listed $25,806 in boat expenses, $21,807 for spa services and $542,303.47 for gardening.
She maintained that even the amount she was seeking would be “less than the amount needed to maintain the children in their accustomed lifestyle.”
“The amount needed to maintain the children’s current lifestyle is $332,264,” she stated in court documents.
Costner was ultimately ordered to pay $63,209 a month in child support for their three children, as well as $1.5 million directly to Baumgartner.
Costner and Baumgartner were married from 2004 until their separation in 2023. She later moved on with his friend Josh Connor, whom she married in October last year; the former couple is seen here in 2019.
Their divorce was finalized in 2024, with Costner ordered to pay Baumgartner $63,209 per month in child support and $1.5 million to her personally.
Baumgartner subsequently married Costner’s former friend, Josh Connor, last October.

Wearing a loose white top and denim shorts, his date also smiled broadly at one point and appeared equally relaxed.
Shopping done, they headed back to Costner’s gray Mercedes-Benz in the parking lot, where the actor dutifully returned the cart.
Earlier this year a source told Us Weekly that Costner is ‘not looking for a serious relationship or marriage any time soon.’
