Two 18-year-olds are jailed in Idaho over alleged violence at several Boise house parties, including the stabbing death of a 20-year-old man.
Isaiah Chavez and Miyah Ford are being held at the Ada County Jail, according to jail records. Both face aggravated assault charges in connection with the death of Casey Rayburn, who was stabbed during a Sept. 7, 2026, gathering on N. Duncan Lane in Boise. Boise police said Chavez and Ford are two of four people suspected in Rayburn’s death.
Police, firefighters and Ada County paramedics were dispatched at about 1:30 a.m. on Sept. 7 after receiving reports of a stabbing in the 6000 block of N. Duncan Lane. Responding officers found a man suffering from stab wounds on the front porch as people fled what police described as a large house party.
Authorities later identified the victim as Rayburn.
Chavez and Ford were already being held in connection with another investigation when detectives tied them to the Boise stabbing.
Boise police said the pair had been arrested the previous week over an Aug. 16, 2026, incident. Officers were called to the 2200 block of S. Gekeler Lane after reports of gunfire at a house party.
Investigators found evidence that gunshots were fired during a fight, damaging the home’s ceiling and roof, police said. Five people were arrested in connection with the brawl, while another suspect was taken into custody for allegedly firing a gun into the ceiling.
Police said evidence suggests gang activity played a role in both incidents.
Authorities also believe several videos of the stabbing may help clarify what happened and advance the investigation.
Police urged anyone with information to come forward, warning that people who conceal or destroy evidence—including additional footage of the crime—could face criminal charges.
“Gang violence and related activity will be addressed to the full extent of the law,” Boise Police Chief Chris Dennison said. He praised the patrol officers who responded, secured the scene and collected evidence, as well as detectives who later identified and located the suspects. Dennison called the investigation an example of the department’s teamwork and professionalism.

The other two suspects identified in Rayburn’s death are Keigan Blagburn, 22, and Tashaun Maldonado, 18.
